About Us

Ushu was born from the shared love Andrea and Jacobo have for Colombia, its rich culture, diverse people, and deep-rooted traditions. Andrea, a consultant with extensive experience working closely with communities across Colombia, and Jacobo, a creative strategist with a background in PR and advertising, realised that what brought them together was their shared passion to showcase the beauty of their country to the world.

 

With their unique professional backgrounds, they wanted to create a brand that not only highlighted the beauty and significance of Colombia’s textiles and craftsmanship but also honoured the artisans who have kept these traditions alive. In today’s fast-paced, mass-produced fashion world, they saw a growing disconnect from the people behind the products.

 

Their goal with Ushu is simple: to share the heart of Colombia, telling the stories of its communities through thoughtful design, while giving artisans the recognition they deserve and preserving the cultural heritage woven into each piece.
